Christian Garin

Christian Ignacio Garin Medone, better known as Tatan, or Gago is a professional tennis player from Chile. He recently reached his career peak after ranking at 18 singles ATP in February 2020. His common playing styles are right-handed and two-handed backhand.

After a successful junior career, he entered the professional league in 2012 and became the youngest Chilean player. By debuting at Davis Cup, Christian declared himself to the whole tennis world. 

Christian is the current Chilean best tennis player. He has won five ATP titles, all of which he played on clay courts. His popularity dates back to when he was almost 17 when he played against Dusan Lajovic. 

Considering his current achievements, Garin represented Chile at the 2020 ATP Cup, and, most importantly, he obtained his third title there. This win elevated Christian to the sixth-best Chilean player and 18th overall.

Christian was born on May 30 1996, to his parents Sergio Garin and Anna Claudia Medone. He has one brother Sebastian Antonio Garin Medone, and a girlfriend, Valeria Polesel.

To be honest, it seems like Garin is wholly focused on his professional career. Based on his interviews, if he is not training, he analyses his previous matches with the trainees. Other than that, he enjoys watching football matches, especially when his favourite team, Real Madrid, is playing. Garin also likes hanging out with friends and watching basketball matches.
