Maria Camila Osorio Serrano is a well-respected Colombian tennis player born on 22 December 2001. Her career-high singles ranking of world number 72 came in August 2021, and WTA doubles ranking number 477 came in May 2021. 

Throughout her tennis career, she has garnered one singles WTA Tour title and three singles titles in the ITF Circuit. Maria's junior career was impressive. She won the girls' singles title at 2019 Open and a career-high ranking of world number one on the ITF Circuit.

Tennis Influences

Maria comes from a family with a good athletic background. She is the granddaughter of Roberto Serrano, a professional football player who represented Colombia at the 1962 World Cup in Chile. Her father, Carlos Osorio, and brother, Sebastian, are footballers and her mother was a professional basketball player. 

Maria made her professional tennis debut in qualifying at Bogota in 2016. Her first coach, who was also her influencer, was Edgar Munoz, and she's currently coached by Ricardo Sanchez Rueda. She has recorded great results in the games she has played in 2021, and we hope that she'll maintain a good performance.
