About Danilo Petrovic

Danilo Petrovic is a Serbian professional tennis player born in Belgrade on January 24th, 1992. With a career record of 2-3 at singles and 1-0 at doubles, Danilo is currently at the number 164 spot on the ATP rankings. He reached his peak in October 2020, when he was ranked 137th after reaching the semi-finals of the Forte Village Sardegna Open. Even though this was his only second ATP tour main-draw appearance, Danilo was the lucky loser at the competition. He lost the match against Marco Cecchinato and missed out on the chance to place himself in the final.

Petrovic has won two singles and two doubles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour. In 2018, he and Nikola Milojevic entered the Davis Cup World Cup Play-offs representing their country. The duo had a field day against the Indian team of Rohan Bopanna and Saketh Myneni and won the match comfortably by 3:0. The Serbian team eventually won the tie with a great result of 4:0, which secured them in the 2019 Davis Cup Qualifying Round.

With his height of 2.03m, Danilo is one of the tallest active tennis players in the world. He is right-handed and prefers a two-handed backhand. His current coaching team consists of Damjan Divjak and Slobodan Vojinovic. Clay is his favourite surface to play on, though he has had some success on hard courts. In 2021 he entered the Wimbledon qualifiers and lost his first match against Felix Gill.
