WTA US Open live scores, results today, draws
The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will welcome the best female tennis players from around the world once again in 2021. The 133rd edition of the WTA US Open Grand Slam tournament will take place from August 30 to September 12, 2021.
Chris Evert and Serena Williams have won a record six titles in the Open Era of the WTA US Open tournament, and Williams would give anything to win the US Open one last time as that would make her the all-time Grand Slam record holder. However, given her age, that's unlikely to happen, and here are the women that are the leading contenders for the WTA US Open 2021 title.
WTA Tennis US Open 2021 Favourites
Nothing compares to winning the US Open tennis final in front of 23,000 roaring fans on Arthur Ashe. One person who knows just how exhilarating winning the last Grand Slam of the year can be is Naomi Osaka.
The Japanese superstar has won the US Open on two occasions, in 2018 and 2020, and will desperately want to add a third triumph.
However, there will be a long list of contenders vying for that same podium spot. Last year's first seed, Karolina Pliskova, home favourite Sofia Kenin, and the always threatening Petra Kvitova will all try to dethrone Osaka.
Top-ranked Ashleigh Barty, Australian Open winner, Simona Halep, as well as Dutch star Kiki Bertens and Tour Finals winner, Elina Svitolina will try to get in the mix too.
