WTA Canadian Open live scores, results today, draws

The WTA Montreal 2021 is a Premier 5 tournament on the WTA Tour and is held in high regard by the world's top tennis female players. It will take place at the Stade IGA in Montreal from August 6 to August 15, 2021.

The 2020 edition of the Canadian Open, also known as the Toronto WTA or Montreal WTA tournament, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Canadian tennis fans have been starved of top-tier tennis for more than a year now. However, the likes of Halep, Svitolina, and home favourite Bianca Andreescu will be back in 2021, and they will bring some much-needed joy to Quebec tennis fans.

Everybody expects the WTA Rogers Cup to be one of the most competitive tennis tournaments out there. The fact that there have been eight different Canadian Open winners in the last ten years is a testament to that.

Rogers Cup 2021 Prospects

2019 Rogers Cup winner Bianca Andreescu will get most of the love of the home crowds. The Ontario-born player burst to the scene in 2017 but exploded in popularity two years later. In 2019, she won both the US and Canadian Open and will hope for more of the same in 2021.

The likes of Simona Halep, Elina Svitolina, and Petra Kvitova will have other plans, though. Halep is a two-time Canadian Open winner and three-time finalist. Therefore, she is an excellent candidate to back if you are not a Canadian supporting the home sweetheart
