US Open Men

The US Open is the final Grand Slam tournament of the year and its latest, 140th edition, will take place from August 30 to September 12, 2021. The hardcourt tennis tournament will host the greatest male tennis players in the world for two weeks at the end of next summer and will tell us who will follow in Jimmy Connors and Pete Sampras' footsteps by winning the US Open 2021 trophy.

US Open Men's Tennis 2021 Favourites

The only man who is currently on par with Connors and Pistol Pete and is likely to take part in the ATP US Open 2021 is Roger Federer. Federer has five US Open titles, the same number as Connors and Sampras, and another win will make him the player with the most US Open titles in the Open Era (after 1968).

However, Federer will have to work hard for his sixth US Open triumph as there will be lots of contenders for the tennis US Open 2021 title. Last year's winner, Dominic Thiem, will be one of them. The Austrian triumphed over Alexander Zverev at the top-rated ATP USA tournament last time around and will look to do the same in 2021.

The top-seeded US Open player in 2020, Novak Djokovic, will try to do the same. The Serb was surprisingly eliminated in the fourth round in 2020 and will be eager to set the record straight.

The likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, and David Goffin will likely be near the podium too.
