Seong-Chan Hong's

Sorana Cirstea was born 7 April 1990 in Bucharest, Principality of Wallachia. She showed a passion for tennis at an early age and was provided everything to make her dream come true. 

The Romanian player achieved her career-high singles ranking of world number 21 in 2013 and career-high doubles ranking of world number 35 in 2009. Throughout her career, she has defeated players like Sara Errani, Jelena Jankovic, Angelique Kerber, Petra Kvitová, and Li Na. Those who’ve played with Cirstea know that her first serve is always powerful and ground opening.

Sorana is the daughter of Mihai and Liliana, who live in Târgovi?te. Her mother introduced her to tennis when she was only four years old. As an upcoming star, she idolized professional male tennis players like Steff Graf and Roger Federer. 

Cirstea is coached by Victor Ionita and also trains with the Adidas Development Program. She’s an all-surface player, with her favourite shot being a forehand. Her goal is to appear on the top 10 list of the best tennis players in the world.

Hobbies and Interests of Cirstea

Tennis is not the only thing that keeps Cirstea busy. She enjoys playing other ball sports, going out shopping, watching the latest movies, reading books, filling crosswords puzzles and racing in fancy sports cars.
