About Sabine Lisicki

Katerina Siniakova is a tennis player from the Czech Republic, born on May 10th, 1996, in Hradec Kralove. She is a right-handed tennis player coached by her father, Dmitri Siniakov, who is also a businessman.Β 

Katerina had won three Grand Slam titles alongside her compatriot Barbora Krejkova in the 2018 French Open, in the 2018 Wimbledon Championships and the 2021 French Open. She was ranked as No. 1 in doubles for the first time in October 2018, and she kept this position for 33 weeks which is an astounding feat. Her most notable singles victory came at the 2019 French Open, where she defeated Naomi Osaka, the world No. 1 and winner of the previous two Grand Slam tournaments, on route to the fourth round.

She’s also advanced to the third round of five additional Grand Slam Tournaments: the 2016 Wimbledon, the 2018 French Open, the Wimbledon and US Open and the 2020 French Open. As of October 2018, she attained her career-high singles ranking of No. 31. She has won two singles and ten doubles championships on the WTA Tour and one WTA 125K doubles title, with seven singles and four double wins on the ITF Circuit.

Katerina’s mother is named Hana Siniakova and is an accountant. Her younger brother is Daniel. She was mentored by WTA legend Helena Sukova, who is now a sports psychologist. Her favourite surface is hardcourt, and her favourite tournament is the Australian Open.Β
