Born on October 13th, 1992, Shelby Rogers is an American professional tennis player, currently positioned as No. 47 on the WTA ranking. Shelby has defeated numerous senior tennis players and was known for being one of the most talented youngsters in the sport. 

Shelby is recognised for defeating Serena Williams, Simona Halep and other famous professionals. She will soon be included in highly competent senior female athletes and will be rated among them. As for her experience in the courts, Shelby has played in Grand Slam Doubles events such as the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. In addition, the emerging star has competed in Grand Slam Mixed Doubles tournaments such as the US Open and others.

As stated by her, Rogers was born to Starley Gabrish, Shelby’s mother, and has never met her biological father. Her mother appears to have remarried when Shelby was relatively young. According to the rumours, her mother has recently revealed some information about her biological father.

Shelby’s older sister, Sabra Rogers, is also a tennis player, which shows the tennis gene runs in the family. Shelby describes her older sister as the driving force behind her successful sports career. Her tennis idol from her childhood was Steffi Graf, and she says that she would have been a hockey player if she hadn’t become a professional tennis player.
