Born on December 7th, 1990, in Liege, Belgium, David Goffin is a professional tennis player ranked 15th on the ATP singles list. His career-high ranking was 7th in 2017, and he is the only Belgian tennis player to ever be in the top 10 ATP list. His career total is 292–195, and he has won 5 ATP titles, with the Great Ocean Road Open in 2021 being his latest one.

  • As a tennis player, David is considered to be an offensive-baseliner. His forehand is good, though his two-handed backhand is his strongest weapon.
  • In 2017 he had an amazing 53.9% of second-serve return points, making him one of the best returners in recent years.
  • His current coach is Germain Gigounon, and they have been working together relatively recently since 2020.
  • Goffin won his first ATP match at the 2011 Chennai Open against India's number 1 at the time, Somdev Devvarman. However, in the second round, he lost to Stanislas Wawrinka.
