Veronika Kudermaetova is a well-respected Russian tennis player. She was born on 24th April 1997 in Kazan, Russia. Kudermetova has a high-career singles ranking of world No. 12, and the best doubles ranking number 16, which she won in July 2021. 

The young Russian player has attracted many people with her unique playing style. She’s a highly aggressive player with a powerful serve of 114 mph. She has a clean record starting from juniors and is determined to break into the elite of world tennis.

Tennis Influences

Kudermetova hails from a family of professional athletes. Her father, Eduard Kudermetova, is a professional Russian national hockey player and her young sister, Polina, is a tennis junior circuit player. 

Tennis captured the attention of Kudermetova when she was only 8 years old. She began her training classes at the CSKA sports centre under the leadership of Oksana Tektova. It is her father, together with other coaches, who have pushed her to reach where she is today.

Currently, Kudermetova is coached by her husband, Sergei Demekhine, but also works with Vlado Platenik. 

Hobbies and Interest of Kudermetova

When off the court, Kudermetova loves spending her time in the kitchen trying out new dishes. She’s excellent at preparing mouth-watering roasted chicken with potatoes and garlic. 

Another exciting hobby of Kudermetova is dancing, she even attended dancing classes and art at school. Besides tennis, she has been a lover of hockey since her childhood. She was a big fan of all clubs where her father played, but her favourite club was Magnitogorsk.
