She has 2 singles and 2 doubles WTA titles to her name, along with 8 singles and 8 doubles ITF titles. Her career-high ranking stood at world no. 56, playing singles in January 2016. 

Tennis Influences

Nao Hibino’s family love tennis. Her parents even named her after former tennis pro - Naoko Sawamatsu. Likewise, her brother is also named after another tennis ace Shuzo Matsuoka.

When Nao was 10, she and her brother were introduced to this sport by their mother. This was mainly to replace their attention from video games to something useful like sports.

Eventually, Nao managed to play at the Centre Court of Wimbledon at a very young age. By the age of 14, she was already playing in junior level tournaments. This was in 2009 when she started her junior-level career through ITF Junior Circuit.

Later in 2015, she shifted to Kobe for enhanced training. As a side note, Nao’s favourite tennis star is Maria Sharapova. 

Hobbies and Interests of Hibino 

Hibino enjoys doing simple things in her free time. Like, she spends time with her family whenever she is free. This is because she lives away from them, majorly for tennis training and tours. She even loves to go shopping with her sister and try new eateries now and then.
