Thiago Monteiro is a world-known tennis player with a huge fan base from all around the world. Monteiro recently reached his best singles ranking by attaining number 94. He is a left-handed tennis player characterized by accurate shots.

Thiago’s talent is seen from his early years. He started with a junior career where he won multiple championships. In 2012, Monteiro had attained number 2 in career ranking in the ITF Junior Circuit. He reached the third round of the Wimbledon Championship in 2011 and the French Open in 2012. Monteiro ended this career segment with a 77-31 win record in singles. As for doubles, he closed at 47-32.

Thiago proceeded with his professional career winning his first ATP Challenge title in France at Aix-En-Provence on May 8, 2016. His gameplay has surprised many, especially when he outs star players within the first round.

Thiago Monteiro was born on May 31 1994 in Fortaleza, Brazil. He began playing tennis at the age of eight but also enjoyed playing football in high school.

Thiago moved from his home to an academy, where he transitioned his tennis hobby into a professional career. His biggest inspiration was his older brother, Faber, who believed in his talent while everybody else didn’t. Faber could drive Thiago for 10 hours to go and play junior events.
