Cristiana Ferrando's

Laura Siegemund, a German tennis pro, started her career in 2006. She was born on March 4 1988, in Filderstadt, Germany. However, she spent her childhood in different parts of the world, including Saudi Arabia and Jakarta.

She currently resides in Stuttgart, Germany and is coached under Antonio Zucca. She has 2 singles and 6 doubles WTA titles to her name. In 2016, she held the position of world no. 27, which is the best of her career. But in September 2021, she stood at 57th rank globally.

Tennis Influences

Laura had her first tennis influence from her family, who introduced her to the sport at the age of 3. Growing up, she idolised Steffi Graf. Steffi is a former tennis ace, also from Germany.

During her junior years, Laura won the Junior Orange Bowl title under the “12 and below” category. This was a great achievement since it wasn’t won by any German player after Steffi in 1981. 

She first started with the ITF tour in 2002. Later on, she had other breakthroughs that kept her thriving in this field. She has participated in all four Grand Slams - the Australian Open, French, Wimbledon and US Open. 

Hobbies and Interests of Siegemund

Laura holds a bachelor degree in Psychology obtained from the University of Hagen. She can fluently speak three languages, including French, German and English. 

Siegemund is currently in a romantic relationship with Antonio Zucca. Antonio was an Italian tennis athlete and now coaches Laura.
