Madison Keys

The American professional tennis champion, Madison Keys, started her tennis career from a young age. Her fantasy was inspired by tennis attire worn by Venus Williams during Wimbledon. Little Madison had longed for the dress that she saw on TV and asked her parents to buy her one. However, they agreed to buy the white tennis attire only if she started playing tennis. Four-year-old Madison readily agreed to it from where her love for tennis also began. In a few years, her training commenced, and soon she was playing and winning titles at ITF Junior events. 

Her current professional career took off in 2009 when she entered into the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). At the age of 14 years, Maddison defeated some of the top tennis players of WTA to make headlines. This list includes the world’s #2 female tennis player, Serena Williams.  

As she was moving forward, she kept winning various titles. She has participated in and won several events like WTA tournaments, Cincinnati Open, Grand Slams, etc. In 2016, Keys reached the No. 7 rank, which was the highest in her career. After that, her rank has remained uniform among the top 25 WTA list.  

Furthermore, Keys has often adored Williams sisters growing up. She also is fond of Roger Federer for his distinctive attitude on the court and dedication. Additionally, Keys is engaged in activities against cyber-bullying and bullying in general as an ambassador for the Fearlessly Girl organisation.
