<p>Simona Halep is a Romanian professional tennis player ranked as world no.1 singles in 2017 and 2019. She has been runners-up 17 times and has won 22 WTA singles titles. Simona has ranked among the top 10 many times during her career.</p>
<p>Although Simona started playing at a younger age, her first significant achievement was when she played International Tennis Federation’ (ITF) tournaments in 2008. She later won several other ITF tournaments in the consecutive year.</p>
<p>In 2010, Halep’s career went a notch higher as she participated in various tournaments, including Barcelona Ladies Open, Australian Open, US Open, WTA Tour, and French Open. <p>Halep was born and raised in Constanta in Romania on September 27, 1991. Her love for sports was perfectly cultivated because her father, Stere Halep, was a football player. While her mother, Tania, was her biggest fan. Growing up, Simona looked up to Justine Henin, which could explain their similarities in playing styles. She loves and owns big machines, including a Mercedes GLE 450 AMG, a Range Rover, and Porsche 911 Carrera GTS among several others. In addition to her unconditional love of tennis, Simona is fond of yoga, as well as ice skating. </p>
